February 14th, 2020: The Lower Oaks is Scott Smith and Mike Packard of the band Sheen. While Sheen was on summer hiatus this past year, Mike and Smitty finally started on a long-planned project under the moniker The Lower Oaks; in tribute to the street they both grew up off of.
They wrote 5 songs and recorded them in a low-fi minimalistic setting. "Good Bye For Later" is the first single released from the EP, now available on Spotify and all the other digital outlets.
Third Man Records
December 11, 2018: Back in October, I had the chance to record in the Third Man Recording Booth in Nashville. I wasn’t thinking I was gonna but, luckily, I got pushed into it. Couldn’t think of one of my songs (wasn’t sure what song would fit in the 2 min 20 sec recording time) so I did Bill Withers “Ain’t No Sunshine”. It sound raw but it was cool! Take a listen.
